The Mariner Society is Holland America’s loyalty program rewarding repeat cruisers with exclusive benefits. Guests are automatically enrolled after their first cruise with credits earned based on days sailed. 

Earning Points

Guests earn one cruise day credit for each day sailed on a Holland America cruise. Booking a suite at published rates doubles the credits for the cruise duration.  Tiers include Star Mariner (1–29 credits), 2-Star Mariner (30–74 credits), 3-Star Mariner (75–199 credits), 4-Star Mariner (200–499 credits) and 5-Star Mariner (500+ credits).

Each tier offers a unique set of rewards, progressively enhancing the cruise experience with discounts, exclusive events, and complimentary services.

  • Star Mariner: Guests booking within 90 days of a new season launch receive up to $400 in onboard spending credit per stateroom, enjoy an exclusive embarkation reception, and get a collectible gift, 15% off shophollandamerica.com merchandise and 50% off fares for third/fourth guests on select sailings.
  • 2-Star Mariner: Includes Star Mariner benefits plus a 10% discount on onboard logo clothing, a free ship photo, a recognition lapel pin and the 50% discount for third/fourth guests on select sailings.
  • 3-Star Mariner: Adds to prior benefits with a 25% discount on specialty dining, wine packages, Explorations Café drinks and minibar items, while maintaining the 50% discount for third/fourth guests on select sailings.
  • 4-Star Mariner: Includes all previous benefits plus free laundry and pressing, priority check-in, disembarkation, and tendering, a 50% discount on specialty dining, wine packages, café drinks, and minibar items, a free wine tasting, and free third/fourth guests on select sailings.
  • 5-Star Mariner: Offers all prior benefits plus two complimentary specialty restaurants, complimentary Thermal Suite day pass and $30 credit toward any internet package.

The program is free to join, with credits that never expire. Benefits are managed via the HAL Navigator app or Guest Services
